The
Betty Farnsworth Tranquility Garden was created to honor Betty Farnsworth,
one of UVHS’s founding members and a woman who has given nearly
50 years of service to the organization as a dedicated volunteer and
UVHS Board Member. Betty’s love and compassion for all animals
inspired the garden, which provides a beautiful, tranquil space for both
people and animals to share. The garden includes shade-covered benches
for sitting and remembering loved ones, walking areas for gentle strolling,
as well as a quiet space for prospective adopters to visit with dogs
that are available for adoption in a more relaxed setting.
UVHS invites you to share in the beautiful garden by ordering a remembrance
gift in memory or in honor of a loved one. Your donation will support
not only the cost of the remembrance gift, but also the installation
and yearly maintenance of your gift.
The garden is open every day May 15 to October 15, and is open to the
public during the Shelter/Animal Care Center’s operating hours.
If you would like more information about this beautiful garden and how
you may participate, please call (603) 448-6888 ext 111.
