Adopting a new cat? To help you bring home a cat who is a great match for your family, the Upper Valley Humane Society (UVHS) is pleased to announce its own “adoption” of the Meet Your Match^® Feline-ality™ Adoption Program, a program of the ASPCA^®.

The program — which includes a Feline-ality™ behavior assessment of each cat and a brief matchmaking survey of each adopter — results in a color-coded matchmaking system that brings compatible companions together.

With Meet Your Match^®, you’ll come to UVHS and find “the one.” Much like eHarmony for the feline-set, the program introduces you to kitties who best suit your personality and lifestyle. Are you looking for a kitty who’ll sit contentedly on your lap while you read the paper? Then the “Love Bug” might be for you. Or how about the cat who makes a toy out of any stray pen or ball of paper? Then you could live happily ever after with the “Party Animal.”

• Upon arrival at UVHS, we carefully evaluate each cat’s behavior, friendliness, playfulness, energy level, motivation, people-manners, interests and other distinct traits using the Meet Your Match® Feline-ality™ Assessment. • When you're ready to begin the adoption process, you simply complete a brief, one-page Matchmaking Survey which will help us understand your preferences, expectations and lifestyle in order to help you choose a compatible companion.
