    UVHS ADOPTION PROCEDURES

    To adopt a companion animal from the Upper Valley Humane Society, please provide the following:

    • Proof that you are at least 21 years of age
    • Rental agreement allowing pets or proof of home ownership
    • If you have owned pets over the last three (3) years, you will also need:
      • Veterinary records for the past three (3) years
      • Proof that the pet(s) is/are current on its/their rabies vaccination
      • Proof that the pet(s) is/are spayed and/or neutered

    Please note!!

    • All resident members of the household, both humans and dogs, must be introduced to the new pet prior to finalizing the adoption. 
    • Dog-to-dog introduction between resident dogs and the prospective adoptee is required for adoption.
