UVHS ADOPTION PROCEDURES

To adopt a companion animal from the Upper Valley Humane Society, please provide the following:

• Proof that you are at least 21 years of age
• Rental agreement allowing pets or proof of home ownership

Please note!!

• When adopting a dog, we ask that all canines and humans living in the prospective adopter’s home meet the UVHS dog.
• When adopting a cat, we ask that all humans living in the prospective adopter’s home meet the UVHS cat. If needed, we can except one adult in the household who we will call by phone to verify acceptance of a new cat in the home. If an adopter’s dog has never lived with a cat, we are happy to work with you to introduce your dog to the UVHS cat prior to adoption.
